PRAVASIMATRIMONY(www.pravasimatrimony.org) is a catholic matrimonial service provided by MARTHOMAMARGAM an official media wing of the Shamshabad Syro Malabar Diocese in association with Syro Malabar Church Internet Mission (SMCIM). It is part of the pastoral initiatives taken by our Diocese to reach out to its faithful world-wide with various pastoral and spiritual services using the new medium of internet. The Internet Mission benefits mostly the members of the Syro-Malabar migrant Community all over India, who have moved to other parts of India in search of a living. The matrimonial service directly benefits young men and women who are seeking suitable life-partner from their own faith and community to start a Christian family. Parents, who are eagerly searching for good brides and grooms for their sons and daughters can also make use of this service.

SHAMSHABAD

“Shamshabad” is a small town where the Hyderabad International Airport is situated. The meaning of the word shamsha is “sunshine”. It is 25 Km away from Hyderabad city and 35 Km from Secunderabad. This new diocese has the faithful, spread all over India in 23 states, 4 union territories including 2 islands of India. Hence the Diocese of Shamshabad is the biggest among the Catholic Dioceses of India. The new diocese has a total of 120,000 Catholics, spread in almost 100 Cities of India and 120 priests serve them.

Experiencing the vastness of the areas outside the Proper Territory, it was found opportune to divide the whole area into ten regions on the basis of language, culture, geographical considerations.
